Great ski mountaineering traverse – Valle Stura, Grana and Maira
Quiet, good food, hospitality and great skiing is what we offer on our tour that connects these three valleys of the Cuneo Alps. Still pristine environments that through passes and peaks we will go to chain in an unprecedented itinerant proposal in search of unique spaces and sensations. In 5 days we will discover the deep identity of this part of the far west of the Italian Alps.

Day 1:
Meeting at 3.00 pm in Valloriate – Valle Stura (CN) at Locanda Fungo Reale. equipment check, self-rescue tests, general briefing.
Day 2:
San Giacomo 1300mt. – Summit Viriblanc 2460mt. – Chiappi 1625mt. (La Font Hotel)
Day 3:
Castelmagno Sanctuary 1760mt. – Monte Tibert 2650mt. – Chiappi 1625mt. (La Font Hotel)
Day 4:
Castelmagno Sanctuary 1760mt. – Punta Sibolet 2580mt. – Marmora 1230mt. (Osteria Croce Bianca)
Day 5:
Preit di Canosio 1543mt. – Monte Giobert 2439mt. – Return to Valloriate
EQUIPMENT REQUIRED
Self-rescue kit (avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe), touring skis, climbing skins, boots, rampant, ski poles. High mountain clothing: gore-tex type ski jacket and pants, down jacket, first layer, gloves,helmet or cap, ski mask and sunglasses. Protective sun cream.
