DESCRIPTION

Courmayeur is the last municipality you encounter in Valdigne before getting to France, and is set at the foot of the majestic Mont Blanc. It offers plenty of activities to enjoy, views to see, and products to taste. In our tour we have tried to gather the best of the experiences, a must if you want to discover the Essence of the Alps in 3 days.

Day 1

We meet with the tour leader at 9.30am in Aymavilles, at Vinosteria Antirouille, and start off the day with some coffee. The tour leader will introduce us to the itinerary of the trip, then we transfer to Entreves at the Courmayeur The Valley Station, our starting point to the Skyway. The cableway will bring us in two steps to Punta Helbronner (3466 mt above sea level). Once on top, on the terrace at The Sky station, we get an astounding view of the Alps, and it will seem as if we can touch the summits around us. After our visit of the Skyway we enjoy a snack above the clouds, and then get back to the valley and transfer to Courmayeur. We have some free time to do some shopping, and then check in to the Auberge de la Maison hotel, in which we will have dinner.

Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel. At 9.30 we meet the tour leader and depart for an easy hike to Rifugio Bertone. We start from the beautiful Val Ferret, leaving the village of Planpincieux behind us, and follow a scenic itinerary on the Mont Blanc Range for around 1h 30. The hike is ideal for families and nature photographers. We reach the refuge and lunch with some of the traditional Valdostan dishes. In the afternoon we return to the hotel and enjoy some free time in the hotel’s spa. Dinner and overnight stay at the Auberge.

Day 3

Breakfast and check out. The day’s trek among the vineyards in Alta Valdigne is a perfect ending to our three-days tour. After our walk in the superb nature of the valley, as well as in its history and tradition, we will visit the Les Cretes winery in Aymavilles, where we will enjoy our lunch.
